i went to gmc web site and picked the new 1500 and choose every option available. it came to almost 45000 dollars. this is for a gas half ton. i bet a one ton with diesel will be at least 55,000. what do you guys think?

Ya it should be about 5-7% more than the LBZ so that sounds about right.

LMM-Lots More Money :)
shouldnt be too much more, isnt the engine relatively the same as the lbz it is the emmisions stuff that will be adding the cost?

I read in an automotive magazine the other day that they are projected to be about 2k above current pricing margins. Probably worth it in my mind.

I was TOLD (DONT KNOW IF TRUE) by a CHEVY DEALER that the diesels wont be any more then they are now (besides slight increases). I said gosh diesel is already an 8,000 dollar option put 2500 for a dpf and itll kill the pickup diesel market. He said no it wont becasue the dpf wont add any cost, the way gm is doing it is say a chevy impala is 30,000 dollars now this year after dpf's come out itll be 30,300 and theyll spread the cost out over the entire product liine. that is what i was told.

No need to speculate, since Edmunds.com already has the prices:

Eh, give it some time. The prices will come down. They are always the highest when a redesign is first released.

I was told by a salesman that it will be $3000 extra. He also said there will be no exhaust or any other mods available for the LMM. I told him I have faith there will be:) He was trying to sell me a "faster LBZ" in an 07 classic. We went for a ride in mine, his comment changed to " you could make it faster"
