I have been thinking about a set of 38 Kuhmo's on 24's when I wear through these nitto's. I don't think anyone is making a 40 inch tire for a 24 yet. I'm sure it will show up eventually though. The trucks I have seen with the Kuhmos either had 24 inch mazzi hulks or MKW's. They bolth looked really good IMO.

I think I'm gonna roll 24's Lexani Vertex on 41" Iroks soon. I'm getting rid of 22" Rockstars soon too many ppl have them and I think it kinda cheapens the look when too many ppl have the same wheels.

they have the iroks in a 41 for a 24" rim??? and yea i also think the kumhos look good just wanted a 40 in that tire

lxh0318

Have they released the 24" vertec or the 24" IROK yet? I know they have a 22" on 41" IROK.

not that i know of.

it would take at least a 41" tire to make a 24 rim look good. i have seen 37's on 24's and it wasnt enough sidewall for my taste

swangin68
11-27-2006, 10:30 PM
yea thats why i want a 40 on 24's that'll be off the charts

It would be nice if Toyo would come out with a 40 on 24's before it is time for new tires. The IROK's wear pretty fast from what I have heard.

I know these Nittos wear down like hot butter in the summer. I don't have crap for tread left. I know the 24" Vertecs are out and a buddy of mine told me that they have 41" Iroks for 24's??? I'll have to do some research!

I bet he is thinking of 22's.

Well Kumho has 38x14x24's , , I think you guys already talked about them. The thing that I don't like is when you jump to a 24" then only come in 10" wide:(. I'd like to see 11" just to give the tire some bulk to it at that tall of a stance.. We are getting a new body 2500HD and are going to put what ever big combo that is out at the time the truck is released.

I just picked up a Cognito 10-12 with all upgrades and toyo 22"x40". At 12" setting how much clearance on the tires? Can I go into the dunes or will it rub? What height are you guys at to clear 40s?

I have 06 crew cab shortbed Chevy HD 4x4. How is the ride compared to stock?

lxh0318
11-30-2006, 10:57 PM
My tires rub just a little when I back up with it set at 12". The ride will be a little stiffer than stock with it set like that.

Does it rub on front tires or rear? Thanks for the info your truck looks sick.

B-rad
11-30-2006, 11:27 PM
lxh would be rubbing the outer part of the tire on the inner fender well at the rear.barely touch is more like it.

i cannot make 38's rub, and i have tried :)

looks nice but i will have to say with going that big there really should be brake up grades, not just for looks but also for the safety factor..heck should be manditory to do brakes to have that big of wheel set up...but look sweet

southbayrhino22
12-01-2006, 04:57 PM
I plan on upgrading my brakes after my lift. What is a good upgrade? The brakes on the Cognito Sema truck are sick but expensive. The trucks are made to haul heavy loads so empty shouldnt be problem. But I plan on towing my boat and toyhauler so I want to upgrade. If Kumho had 24x40s I would of bought them over toyo 22x40 they make 24x38 that are nice but wanted 40s

Upgraded brakes are next, I just did all of the dual fox resivoir shocks (not in pics) and when I tow I put on OEM H2 tires and wheels, there is a HUGE difference in braking between the 2 setups. The 37/24s are HEAVY!

Alot of guys hate on big rims. If they could afford them, then I would take their complaints seriously. Keep posting pics those 24" rims look good to bad they only had 22" x40" toyos I would of got 24's if they had them. The looks are worth the price tag.

Or are you jealous because he has a 60 in his garage completely rebuilt and is 4-linking his truck in January??? Then you will be enving his truck you dumbass
Actually no, I was going to do the exact same thing but they do not make a 24" wheel with a cut out for a hub...at least not one that I could find. I was then going to go down to 22s but changed my mind...dumbass
I do have a 79 Ford F250 front axle for sale if anyone is interested.:p:

Suspension page falling apart now wheels and tires ??? Whats next ? I came here because you guys did fight. Fighting on the INTERNET is stupid, no one wins....

Come on guys leave the math to when we need to find the real size of a metric tire.
