I'm getting ready to order mbrp exhaust for my lly and was wondering if an intake is worth the money, or leave that stock? Is performance that much better with an intake, or use intake money to get juiced?

Intake money to get juiced gets my vote.

an intake will not do anything for you. your not pushing any extra power and an intake will not give you any power. Claims are an intake will allow you to spool up faster, you arent even juiced you dont need to spool up any faster, you do however need to get juiced.

Thanks for the input. I guess I'll be getting exhaust and juiced.

short awnser: NO
long awnser: Just like an exhaust provides no performance gains, just lower egts, and better sound. An intake provides no performance gains, just turbo noise, and possibly better flow of air and dirt. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif

Swiss cheese the stock box if you want more intake air, doesn't cost a cent. Do a search here to find out how.
Just put MBRP exhaust on....when cruising you cant tell difference. Just on accelleration.

No noticeable exhaust noise in the cab at freeway speed. Maybe just a little louder at idle if windows are down. Wife shouldn't notice any difference over stock, but a lot more power.
