Doesn't someone on this site make a "bolt in" bracket for the BMK-17 Dmax by-pass filter system? I could swear I read something on here about it. I just bought this by-pass system and would like a bracket to mount it to my Dmax. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

I don't know of a bracket that is available yet. Here's some photos of the install I did on a 2004 Dmax, the older ones are exactly the same. I recommend using some rubber washers for mounting the filter base to the underside of the truck, otherwise you will get oil pump noise transfer.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/uploads/4F1_DSCN1148.JPG
Aside from rubber washers, everything you need is in the kit. I used the "L" bracket with the long side as a template, then cut the short side of the bracket off. Then use the long side as a spacer.

We have been offering a bracket for this installation for over a year. It will allow you to bolt the bracket to the frame and it goes over the top of the torsion bar. Filters will not hang below the frame. Frame mounting is the strongest and best way to mount the by-pass. I can install the by-pass kit with this bracket in less than 45 minutes.
