What brands cause noise and vibration?

The only one that I know for sure that doesn't cause problems is the GM one.

I've been very happy with my Ventshades version I picked up at Pep Boys.

I have a Deflecto I purchased at the dealer. It and many other bug shields will make noise like a tapping sound at about 60 mph on some vehicles. This was fixed by gluing down the window molding along the edge (some people use double sticky tape). The dealer should have a bulletin on this I believe, if you want them to 'deal' with it (thats' why I bought mine from the dealer).

gm issued a new bulliten in june or july to replace the moldings on the sides of the windshield depending on the build date from 99 till the begining of the 04 model year which describes a vibration noise after installing a bugdeflector on the vehicle

I bought a crome one locally, made by stampede, it works fine on my truck but at about 80-85mph it vibrates the mirrors a little, not bad though. looks awesome especially with the putco stainless tube grill insert http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cool.gif

I have a VentShade, no problems here.

my ventshade makes the seal flap on my 04' around 68-75mph.

will this do anything long term to the seal if you don't glue it down?

I haven't found any good to the deflection of bugs but it makes the truck look better and keeps the rock chips off the front lip of the hood so I'd like to keep it.

Guess I just need to get up there and glue it down. What type of glue should one use?
