Has anyone else experienced the torsion bars sagging because of the adjustment bolt not being tight (threaded), and backing out over time? Loctite?

I have read a lot of threads and many related to off road and lift kits. Never heard of this as a problem.

Mine have been in for about 20K now, and the bolts are in the same place as when I installed them.

Sounds like they're stripped. Perhaps they had been adjusted while still loaded? Had it happen on a 71 IH TravelAll. Frontend dropped down to the stops. Do a search for a recent thread by afp1 IIRC it listed the P/N also. G'luck

What I experience is the right side dropping over time, 1" over 500 miles. The bolt is not real tight to turn, so with constant pressure on it, it might be backing out. Since it is only one side I don't think it is bar sag.

I noticed this because the rear became unlevel and the right airbag needs more air than the left by 10 psi for level.

I have talked with anyone that has experienced this in person but I had heard 'of it'. A fix that one shop told me about was to tac a bead on the adjuster bolt to keep it from backing out.
