So my BCM has some issues. No backup lights or interior dome lights. They aren't connected and there is no blown fuse so im thinking BCM. I'm just a little worried this was caused by the TT of the new edge. It does tie into the fuse panel and electrical system setting off low voltage and other codes.

Anyone else out there with similar problems??

dude, that sucks. i hope you get it worked out and i hope it wasnt the edge.

I'm really starting to have second thoughts about the edge. I have heard others saying the codes coming on from the TT but thats about it.

I got tons of codes from the TT mod. My computer lost control with the body (interior lights, gauges, power windows ect) It lost control with the trans and the fuel IIRC. I have a post ill link in in a few mins. Not just once either, several times it did this.

Edge really needs to fix this problem, like somehow design the turbo timer to be invisible to the BCM, or interact with the BCM so it works smoothely. Having all these PASSLock/Security, lights, BCM, door lock, etc issues is not acceptable IMHO>>

i got those codes before i ever had my edge. if i turned the key on without starting the truck, it would throw those codes and die after i restarted it. mine is definitely a problem with the truck

Both SleeperRTK and myself have had the lights stop working. Anyone else experiencing this yet?? Mine just stopped working suddenly. :mad:

Dumb question here, and it wouldn't explain the backup lights, but are you sure someone didn't push the dome override button? Other than that I have no more suggestions. I haven't had any problems like that with mine.

Didn't your truck get rained in from leaving the sunroof open? Could that be part of the problem?

OKay... so anyone else constantly stalling all the time?? I just started end of last week and keep stalling... at least 2-3 times per day. Sometimes my engine will turn completely off in mid traffic :eek:

i just put my edge on last week it has set several codes off since, shift disabled message (wont go into gear), service brake system message comes up now, In level one i rolled into the throttle it started shaking violently then a CEL came on.. just thought id throw out my experiences with the edge really thinking about taking it back off sure was a waste of alot of money

I was going to put the edge in my new 06 i had good luck with the the one in my 05 LLY but listening to you guy's problems i don't think i want to put one in my LBZ maybe i will try the preditor anybody had any problems with it? been waiting to see what bank's has up thier sleeve they are takeing thier time to release it maybe it won't have the problem's the edge is haveing.

I have predator also, I like it alot. The only reason I dont run it becuase its cold right now and there is not cold engine protection.

Had mine for about 2 weeks with no problems. Wonder if it has to do with different emission some have. I also don't have the turbo timer hooked up, seems to cool off good without compared to my LLY.Have also tow with it and did just fine.

get a dei alarm $400.00... auto start and turbo timer absolutly no issues.......

At least you got ahold of him...:mad: Had my edge stacked with a hypertech and had intermittent stalling. Took the Htech off and same problems. Went stock with no problems but that was no fun so Now I just run the Htech and wait patiently for a call/email/smoke signal from Edge as to what they are going to do about the problem.

Just got my EFI live and very impressed with the new flashscan unit. Very nice and just poking through the software I can tell this is going to be fun. You can do so much more with it than Edge, and its about the same price. Face it, everyone ends up with EFI after they get bit by the bug after trying all the off the shelf tuners. I can tell EFI will be my drug of choice.

Neither had I until this one. Had them on all the dmaxes I have owned and loved them. This is why I was a beta tester for the LBZ unit. Unfortunately now that I have a problem <which may be just the beta unit I have> I can't get anyone to help which is very disappointing. It was never my intention to bag Edge and in fact I have remained very upbeat about thier products on here and other boards but after more than a month <first problem sprouted before SEMA> I have grown more than impatient...which I am sure anyone would. If someone does me right I will sing thier praises but if they screw me I believe its my right to let others know of that also. Just my 2 cents:D

The first weird thing I noticed when I got in it today was that the clock on my radio was off, like I lost backup power at some point . Im goin outside right now to see if my dome lights and backup lights work. Shift range inhibited happens all the time too, from day one. On startup, I put it in gear, and nothin! I have to put it back in park, then back in gear, then it usually goes. This is rediculous!! Paid all this cash for a rushed to the market POS with multiple stupid little querks!

You have to wait for it to finish clearing codes before you try to remove it from park. This is rediculous!! I don't even use my turbo timer unless I'm towing because empty it really doesn't run that hot.

I've had mine for about 2 weeks. Love it so far and no problems. I have not enabled or tried the TT. It wan't a reason I got it. I'm thinking I'll unplug the wire also just to prevent any problems. I've never had to wait for more than 15 seconds for Turbo to go from 450-500 to 350 for shutdonw. I think the occassional 15 second wait is worth not having codes going off everywhere. I'd agree, it should be fixed. Esp. since there is a lot of competition out there.
So, if you make a sweet EFI live program and run the edge on level 0, will it be truely the same as EFI without the edge. Or will the edge somehow still play with the programing? I like all the info provided by the attitude, defuel, low boost fueling (some times I like smoke, sometimes I don't), ability to pull HP when towing to keep egt low.

I think the edge still adds a little timing on level 0 and what is the point of automaticly clearing codes on startup there should be no reason to what if you have a real problem? or does edge alert you of a real problem

We did hurry, 06 LLY / LBZ programming and scanning was released at the end of December. It's already got an LBZ into the 12's with tuning and a tranny upgrade :)
