I PM'd Nick on this but some of you maybe had the same thing happen...
Installed the kit on Tuesday. Lost some fuel out of the OEM line and most ran down the sides of the tank and on to the ground. I wiped everything up well and cleaned the bottom of the tank. Drove the truck to work on Wed. and drove it Wed nite. Checked for leaks right after the install for about 15 minutes, then periodically checked it when I parked it anywhere. No visible leaks on the ground.
Then this afternoon I figured I give it a look and the bottom of the tank had a film of diesel. Not a drip, just film. I think it was just residual from the top that worked it's way down to the bottom after a couple of days. I cleaned it well again and I'll have another look after I take it to have the topper put on tomorrow.
I did check the fitting and the hose clamp on the top of the tank and it seemed dry.
Any experiences like this....? I'm just worried I screwed something up trying to get the OEM line off or something. I didn't pull on it very much when removing the OEM and I did make sure the new fitting clipped on well. I don't think I overtightened the hose clamp but it is definitely tight.
