Though I am very happy with my D'max GMC's looks and performance, I do like the new Dodges, especially the duallies. But, that's not why I stopped by.
We just returned from a lengthy vacation tow around the West, including steep, high mountain passes. I'm curious to know what EGTs those of you who tow heavy loads see when you're climbing the big hills. My truck is stock, save for a straight through muffler. The highest temp I saw was 1,250 degrees. That would usually occur as the revs were dropping below the torque peak, just before a downshift. How hot does the Cummin's breath get?
