I have a 2003 c-6500 with the 7.8 dmax.

is there any upgrades i can make to it?

it had lots o power but hey, u can never have enough right?

also recomend an exhaust brake. its to easy to tack this think out going down grades, and i'm using the brakes more then i'd like to.

and with these do they have fuel tank heaters or heated fuel filters. It has been about -20*F and i'm kina worryed about the fuel.

thanks for the input.

this is a new truck to me but has been in the company since it was new. and has been VERY well taken care of.

Most of the members here are involved with the smaller diesel engines and there isn't much info on the 7800 engines. As far as I know, there isn't any aftermarket tuners for the Nippon Denso controller that Isuzu uses on that engine, but there are some factory horsepower upgrades that can be done on the new version. Just not the 03 & 04's.

What HP and tourque rating are you on?

I pick up my new 07 7500, with the 7.8 in it tommorrow. It has 250 hp, and 800 ft/lbs. It has plenty of power.

I've seen tuners online for the 7.8, here's a link to one site.

Edit. Looks like that is for 04 and up only.

You can't do much with the older engine ECM's.

:HiHi: I guess..., considering they won't be out with the 330hp until next year.
