HDMAX. You have the mirrors that I wish I had bought. twice.

I have the Lucerix (Bestop) and the power extending factory mirrors(Powervision). Neither is good enough.

I had the bestop elephant mirrors before, and these are a 1000 times better.

Last year while camping, a fellow Duramax owner stopped by. He had the Powervision mirrors with a 2" wide angle round mirror placed just above (Or below, I can't seem to remember the lay out) but anyway he was going around camp sites for the sole purpose of finding a good after market mirror.

We measured mine and his. mine had 11" more of usable mirror (5 1/2" on each side) width. Over all, mine were only like 6" wider, but he lost a good deal by the wide angle mirror taking away the outside viewing area.

Mike did your truck come with the GM factory installed power extendable mirrors, if not, did you need to run power to your Schefenackers or was there a place to tap into when you removed the old mirrors.

The power part of the mirrors are plug and use. I did not have heated or lights, so for that I had to run wires for those two functions. But the mirror install is about as easy as any thing can get. Just pop the little plastic cover off on the inside of the door, and remove 3 nuts (I think they were 10MM) remove the old mirror and install the new one.

The total install took about 2-2 1/2 hours once I figured out what I was going to do.

Doing the wiring for the lights was the hardest part, that took better part of an hour and a half.

The manufacturer is Schefenacker from down under I think. http://www.schefenacker.com/scripts/runisa_107k.dll?btxpub:entry::RVS (http://www.schefenacker.com/scripts/runisa_107k.dll?btxpub:entry::RVS) They are TTT (Telescopic Trailer Tow Mirrors )

Walter is or at least was the lowest price for these mirrors, you will need to call him to get the lowest possible price. But be sitting down, as these are porbably the most pricey mirrors you will find. here they are. http://www.wjsperformance.com/mirrors/ttt-mirror.htm (http://www.wjsperformance.com/mirrors/ttt-mirror.htm)

Hdmax,

While I've seen other pics of TTT mirrors, your are the first that convey what they actually look like in real life. So now there's another $500+ I have to try to sneak past my wife.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif
