My old 03 dm/a was all stock with edge and attitude. it worked great, and from what I've read the tranny would hold level 3 with no problems, maybe even level 4. My question is this: No that I have a now 07 with more hp from the factory, and keeping the rest of my truck stock, would I be gaining much by adding edge? My new truck is a dm/a 2500 sb ext. I'm thinking that if I added edge I might be able to only use one level and that would put the hp up to the max hp with out hurting the tranny.
If I would only gaing 1 level it really isn't worth spending the money for the new edge id it?
It appears my new truck has about the same hp as my old truck did between level 2 and 3. I'd appreciate any thoughts to talk me into buying a new edge. Thanks in advance

I have an 06 LBZ, sb ext. cab. I just purchased my new edge w/ attitude, and i plan to only run it on 1 or 2 without messing w/ the trans. However the new edge supposedly monitors trans slippage and will de-fuel if it notices anything that will harm trans or engine. However i am not going to run it any higher then 2 w/ everything stock. Right now i am still figureing on what trans kit i am going to do and which one is that best....

Running my '06 on level 2 is not really noticeable from level 0. Now get into levels 5 and 6 and things are dramatically different. Been running the J/A for 2.5 months on an otherwise bone stock truck with a bunch of time on levels 5 and 6 with no apparent ill effects. Exhaust is on it's way and TG Jr goes in this weekend, that will have to do for now....
With the monitoring functions of the Attitude and the performance improvements from the Juice I'd say you should consider it....

May I add a question to this thread? I'd like to know how the Ally shifts with the Edge on the higher hp levels. I have the Hypertech on 3 and the trans is still shifting funny after over 500 miles.

You do realize that these items void your warranty.

The turbo timer is sweet you turn the ignition off and walk away and the truck will stay running until it reaches a safe temp to shut down. imo I would run the upper levels but be easy on it in the upper gears 4-5-6 this is where it will want to slip.

My chevy dealer sells and installs edge. I'm sure they don't tell gm though. One nice about edge is if you take it off (less than 5 mins) they say they can't tell it was on. The only tell tale sign is the hole on the exhaust for the egt proble. They sell it for more money than most places though. Where is a good place to buy a edge? Also about how much $$?
