Hi all, First things first I'm a newbie. So please be patient. I was just wondering what is a good chip to go with for the beginner and could be easily upgraded in the future.


I see alot of these edge product. and I was wondering also about this Xcelerator.


And another thing I was reading something about a rev limiter in the 01's. Is there a way around this or am I just stuck with it.

The ecelerator will remove the speed limiter and has pretty good power never dynoed just the programer. I found it to stack pretty well with the TST Comp and J/k's VA 200+ boxes. I don't believe that it removes or bumps up the rev limiter, it's still right around 3200-3300 where ever stock is.. The one thing I found about this tunner is it seems to lower shift point a little, "that is just my observation." I have been using it on my 03' duramax/allison and have been quite impressed by the tuner.

Who here has a westers on an 01 without a speed limiter? i've heard of them but never known anyone with it..

I've got a Westers PCM on my 6 liter gas motor, but it doesn't do a whole lot. Maybe their diesel product works better.

I have the excelerator and do like it. My tranny will be done tomorrow with the Suncoast III so now here comes the level 4.
