Here are the after pics.

That wasn't a grinder but a circular saw for metal... at any rate, it wasn't great. We switched to a torch after a while. The other side turned out far better when done solely with the torch.

:exactly: That’s a mans truck not some pu$$ies grocery getter.:D But why did you add cutouts for 35s or did you just want them?

When I ordered the truck and sent it to Kentuky to be modified I asked for 37 tires. However, the very sensible man that did the mods wasn't happy about installing 37s and eventually prevailed giving it to me with 35s. But I really want 37s because I need all the clearance I can get under the lower support arms.

So now I am looking for 37s... I just been to Lebanon but stores there were all out of those tires. Now looking in Dubai and if that fails then I'll have to get them in the US.

Will try to get clearer pictures of the clearance between wheel and wheel arch. 37s are going to be tight I think. However, there is no more space I can create as the bottom of the Bushwacker is now resting against the cab. The only other option would be a body lift but I hesitate as the truck is very tall as it is. It is a bummer that the truck should be so high off the ground but the clearance under the front axle and lower support arms should be so wimpy at 26cm.

Also, even with 35s I would have still needed the flares as the tires stick out quite a bit and the truck gets porked out when driving in rain or dirt.

Looks good. You could run 36s instead, depending what brand the size may be close to what you want.

Sounds very efficient... don't think I can find one around here... I used a typical and old oxygen torch... worked all right.

Is a plasma cutter equipment bulky? Expensive? What is needed to fuel it/energize it or whatever it is it needs to run?

TIA

you can get a small portable plasma cutter that will run off 110 volts, that and a decent sized air compressor and you can cut atleast 16 guage metal if not more, at my shop we have a 20 gallon compressor and i works pretty good

I have a Hobart plasma cutter that runs off of 110volts, 20 amps. Needs an air compressor to go with it. I'm still on the same Oxy tank from two years ago because I bought the plasma cutter... I hardly use Oxy/Ace anymore. It is also convertable to 220V and it cuts much better that way. I have done up to 3/8" steel with it. Cost of the unit was right at $1000.
