so, i did a bit of searching and didnt get much/any of an answer. on average w/ out a chip. how long does a stock turbo live for? i drove a 02, and a o4 lb7's in both......... over the alst few days and they feel way happery than my truck does. granted iv got slighty big tires. i was payimg more attento nto the motor and how it reactied to the throtel and such. i dotn realy want to marke much if any more than stock HP but, id sure like to get all my stock HP/TQ i can. the trucks idr ove had w/ in 10k themiles mine does now. ........ so im wornign how many miels are these bad boys good for w/ average abuse? im pushing 115k on mine. on my TT and my golf, i barly got 70k out of them but i beat them harder than my g/f on a friday night!.........

If you are looking for maximum life, leave the truck stock.

The stock IHI charger is very durable, and has a good track record if you keep the boost under 30PSI.

Turbos are engineered to live as long as the engine.

hua, guess i wont freat too mcuh. i mean i dont see any blow by, or oil leaking or anything. but iv had a few trubos that get shaft play issues, or shaft swelling,dissfiturement issues that cause the trubo to spin slow and kill power. im too lazy to jsut dig in there right off the bat. just wondering how many miles normnaly these are goo dfor. i guess ill have to do something to wake this beast up. im trying to keep it stock as i can motor wise as a tranny is way out of what i can aford to build right now. and that seems to be the most commin thing to die once u make more than stokc power.

After I got the xcelarator, mine lasted a few years. Took it to about 33 psi an awful lot. Right before I got the GT40, it was not whistling, but making a terrible whooshing sound. I will deconstruct it and see what happened.
