How hard was the install in that location? I've been going back and forth between that and the A pillar. I like the pod over the mirror, but I don't want to tear half the truck apart to get it done.

Wheelspin : Very easy install, you can pull the headliner down just enough to run the wires/boost line, without any real problems and the pillar just pulls off.

I found the pillar pod to be a vision distraction when driving, and looking to the left. The above mirror pod is much more non-distractive...but very easy to read while driving...same as looking at the rear mirror.

Hope this helps.

Never seen that gauge mount before. Looks nice. Where is the next place aftermarket will mount a set of gages? The passenger A pillar.:)

jrscycle:

Yes Autometer, the 2 & 3 gauge pods are in their 05-06 catalogue, any shop selling Autometer gauges should have this info.

Yes any 2" 1/16 gauges will work. Autometer or not.

Looks great Wayne!

Thanks Chris... other DP members had asked me to post these pics of my above mirror dual pod setup. So I did so.

And I recently added lots more pics to my garage, including the GN, H2 , Dogs, camping with our Truck & 5th wheel trailer
( some you might recognize...like the Rencon Parkway, Ventura County, ones)

Dieter and family made it home safely on this Monday, and I now have my programmer back, he was more than happy with how this worked out for him. In my garage you will see a recent camping pic (Whidbey island,WA ) of both my truck & Dieter's with his old Kodiak 5th (Nov 2006)

Thanks again
