I have 300 miles on my new Cummins.. Quesions.. First, at idle I hear a noise similar to a water pump bearing or idler puller bearing... Second, there is also a hollow knock sound.. Are these normal engine noises??? thanks...

Diesels make all kinds of noises. They can drive you nuts if you spend time listening instead of driving. Drive the hell out of it. If it makes bad noises at speed take it to your dealer.
