: 1" rear blocks

I want to get some 1" maybe 2" rear blocks. I have turned my t-bars (and Cognito Leveling Kit) to get my truck pretty much level but I think the rear needs to come up a little bit (and if I put a load in the bed). I don't want to lower the front because of my tires.

My questions is where did you purchase your blocks from (sites)? Best price?

Thanks,
Chris

i think www.jackit.com (http://www.jackit.com) has blocks. Just get the cast ones, and no aluminum ones.

i just did alot of searching and just ordered last thursday a 1 inch set from Offroaddesign.com, too me they look like one of the better sets out there and you should be able to use the stock u-bolts.

With a 1" block you will need new u bolts, speaking from experiance.

X2. You might be able to get the nuts started but not much more than that-:t .. I actually used 1" plate steel and A steel pin dow. Works great and as strong as posibble.

As said above ORD makes a nice 1" block they call the Zero rate.

I don't know about the U bolt situation but if you need news ones they could help you out as well.

Here is the Web site:

Might give a call if you want more info. You should look at the u bolts on the truck now and see if there is at least an inch and a quater of thread exposed above the nuts now.

well heck, seems the ones from ORD are the best ive seen, and they dont come with u-bolts.. i heard and was hoping the stock ones would work. they should be hear soon, now I may have to find som bolts and we just have the typical parts stores here.. the ones at autozone look crappy compared to the stock ones...maybe napa will ahve some..

Steel or aluminum won't make a difference in this application. The blocks are not being asked to do anything other than sit there in compression. Get whichever kit comes with U-bolts and make it easy.

If they are solid plate alum I'd say it would be ok But the cheap stamped hollow aluminum spacers I'd stay away from. I have seem dozens of these blocks crank on various cars. I cant imagine what the added weight of the truck would do to these things.

for 260.00 you can get Air Ride bags and be Able to actively level your load and ride level even unloaded! plus it just plain old rides better with them! 2 hour install with decent instructions! but the on board compressor is more $

I highly recomend these http://www.offroaddesign.com/catalog/Zero%20Rates.htm

They are 1'' zero rate, add-a-leafs. Bolts on to the spring pack like an add a leaf, but adds no spring rate. No axle wrap, and safer then blocks. Also allows for axle movment of 1/2'' to 1.5'' forward or back if you like
