took delivery two weeks ago. D/A chassis/cab 3500. Added Rawson-Koenig 9' service body. First fillup from dealer (I drove to station) front tank 9 gallons, rear 21gals. Since then, front tank will not take over a gallon while rear tank empties. Fuel Gauge from the first fill-up never rose above 3/4 full. Still is in the 3/4 range at fill-up even though you can look in tank neck and see fuel in each throat. Dealer says they are waiting on a reply from GM as to which way to proceed?????


Any one here have any ideas?

Maybe the transfer pump is not working.


Did the body company add the second tank? If so the PCM needs to be programmed for it.

I thought transfer pump pumps from back tank to front tank? If this is so, then transfer pump is working.


Body company did not add second tank, it was factory installed on the 60" cab-to-axle frame.Edited by: wellman
