Getting ready for the colder months and doing some preventative maintenance...Heres' my Fuel Filter with 12,899km / 304 hours (8015 miles) on it. Filter minder in the DIC saying 47% remaining...of course I always change it before it reaches 0... The card shows total hours and mileage on truck not what's on that filter itself.
...guess this example is a good advertisent for CAT pre-filters.
How are some of you guys making out on fuel filter life??

I changed my at 13,000 miles and the filter looked good .
I think you will get a lot of different answers because there are different fuel stations and locations, all will be different. My .02 cents worth...

Mine started clogging on way home this afternoon. No additional filter, 15,000 miles on this filter, was going to change this week, the last one only went 12,000 miles, black as coal when I opened it.I'm running B5 from a station that pumped #2 for years in the same tank. I think the gunk in his tank is being cleaned by the B5 into my tank. Just a guess on my part. After today change interval will be every 10,000 miles.

I've been working through a stash of the old single-ply filters that I bought in bulk from Diesel Injection Service a couple of years ago and letting them go 15K or so. I'm good with this because I have a Kennedy Mega post-OEM. However, I had the filter recall done on Sept. 30th and I'll have to look at swapping out that long-can dual-ply sooner.
