Been thinking about my first upgrade. Would like to change from stock to 5" MBRP Cat back exhaust. Will this create a "Droane" at highway speeds that will not be appreciated???????

Running loaded it is noticeable, but it isn't unbearably loud. You just barely hear it over the radio. If you are running around empty, you really don't notice it at all with the radio on. The very end of the video in my sig is of me driving 65 down the highway.

JoshH,
Great, effective video footage. Your truck sounds great. I even thought the incab shot was very quiet. Good stuff!

You don't really notice how quiet it is until you realize you can hear the turn signal over the exhaust.

I just installed the mbrp 4in. I've had it on for about 6 hours and it's driving me crazy!!! It's so loud inside that I can not carry on a conversation on the phone. What gives.? The last one I had was quiet inside!!

Oh, and my EGT's are higher??

Allen, does your new 4" system have a muffler or are you straight piped???

It has a muffler. Now I dont want to give out any bad vibes. That exhaust fits perfect, sound great, and performs great. I had the same system on my 2003 extened cab, but I could not hardly the difference between the stock exhaust and the mbrp in the cab. The one I just installed is not only louder in the cab, but it raises hell outside (that part I like).

I have the 5" with no cat and it is just a little bit lounder than stock on the inside..... just enough so you know its there.
