: Pricing Now Up for 2005s
BuckeyeQuicky 07-17-2004, 07:52 PM The the new pricing for the 2005 GMC Sierras & Silverados is now available at Kelly Blue Book, www.Kbb.com (http://www.Kbb.com), you can now get the pricing on most of the 2500 & 3500 series trucks, the only one thats not showing as of today is the 2500-HD Sierra, but the 3500 Sierra is showing up along with all of the Silverado line, including the 2500-HD Silverado, this web site lets you build your truck with the options you want, and gives you the prices in both MSRP & Dealer Invoice.
hdmax 07-17-2004, 09:28 PM Do you know if GM is standing still with the 2004 price? Ford stated that most of there line up including all of their Super Duty line was staying the same or increasing no more then $10 (I think it was $10)
baimpala 07-17-2004, 09:31 PM Mike,
Are you sure you just asked that question? Just kidding. I would be willing to bet $10 (and remember I'm the cheapest man alive, so that is a BIG bet) that prices will go up more than that.
It's nice to hope though.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

RickDLance 07-17-2004, 09:54 PM I heard on a Dod@#e site that their price went down.

Ill bet that the pricing is going to stay the same and the rebates will get even sweeter for this coming year, if you follow the business news, it was just reported that the big three didn't have the sales they expected for the last 2 quarters of 2004, and now with the election year coming up and Greenspand raising the interest rates, I feel that GM will extend the GM customer loyalty rebate, or come up with something even better so they get a big jump in sales for their 2005 models.
hdmax 07-17-2004, 11:08 PM I think that if someone pays more then $40,000 out the door for a new truck ($36,000 should be the average) they are paying to much.
A $48,000 truck has about a $43,000 invoice, then take away another $4000-$5000 for rebates and you have yourself a nice deal.
mahalkita 07-17-2004, 11:27 PM The rebates for GM loyalty just disappeared this week (last week it was still 1.000 $) - this is only for the LLY package. For the Subs, Tahoe etc. the rebates are still way up in the sky with total of 5.000 $.
I have NOT much hope that you are right because the rebates for the LLY package is always different from the rest. You can easily find any pickup in any configuration cheap cheap as long it has a GAS engine. NOT so for the diesel, looks to me GM thinks it can be sold easily - and unfortunately in my area (down south Louisiana) they are right.
I am getting tired to compare dealer after dealer after dealer, nobody is willing to give the right deal on the truck I want. Here the hot sellers are exactly what I am looking for: 2500 HD CC SB 4 x 4 and LT or SLT package - depending on Silverado or Sierra. They can be sold quite easily for a price far above Invoice.
Mr. Greenspan brought the interest rate up and now we depend on the 0 % finanazing more than ever, only with super high premium credit rating you get a decent rate (without GM).
I am really hoping for some sweet deals in the fall, but as far I am concerned I have waited too long already.
I don't care if the price for the 2005 is up 500 $ or so, the finanzing is the real problem, 1.9 % up makes easily 2.000 $ difference....
Sorry to be so pessimistic, but I am getting tired....
flivver 07-19-2004, 01:53 PM Mahalkita (I love you - Tagalog, right?),
I bought my 2500HD, EC, 4X4, LT package for around 36k. Total with registration and sales tax (8%) was 41k for a CA vehicle. I bought thru www.carsdirect.com (http://www.carsdirect.com) and I recommend them highly. They will quote a price upfront and that's the price you pay. Once they locate a truck and you agree to buy it, they will quote a total with all taxes, etc. No haggling and the price I got quoted was below invoice (per edmunds.com). They do all the looking. I never left the house until I went to get my truck.

mahalkita 07-19-2004, 04:29 PM flivver,
you are right! About the truck - I have checked with carsdirect long time ago and they found a reasonable dealer who agreed on the price but he could only deliver a black truck and NO other color. I was even to accept that truck but the trade in value for my other car was far below kelly blue book, so the price was not good at the end for me. What I wanted to say was more regarding rebates. They are gone down the drain. Last week loyalty cash, this week no more 0% for 60 month gone... I missed the right time.
You got a good price!
Thanks
MK
Do you have friends / relatives in the Philippines also?

luke warm 07-19-2004, 10:59 PM Isn't the GM loyalty rebate good till aug 2.? I have spoken with a couple of dealers in the last few days and they all mentioned that date for the $4k current owner discount...Is this the same thing, or are they two different animals? or are they just trying to get me in the deal before saying "sorry, but..." luke

95geo 07-21-2004, 12:37 PM i was checking the rebates because i will be getting mine in the next week or so and it says all silverados except diesels have 4000 and the diesel has 3000 OR 0% for 48 and 1.9% for 60
i thought the deals would be a little better this time of year.. is there any other rebates or discounts that i can get ahold of?
hdmax 07-21-2004, 02:09 PM I recieved an thank you for buying GM vehicle rebate card. It is good for $1500 until September 30,2004, on all new GM vehicles and is to be used on top of any other rebate or discount. There is not limit as to what vehicle, it stated that it is good on any new GM vehicle. It does not say that it is limited to 2004 only.
With this rebate, it looks like I could buy a new truck and get $5,000 to $5,500 off my best deal. sounds pretty good.
mahalkita 07-21-2004, 04:51 PM Like 95geo said, I saw the same thing (in writing) 4000 $ only for normal Silverados but NOT the LLY package.
I was getting soo tired hunting that I have looked into a Hummer in the meantime - I know totally different and totally useless to most people - but a LOT of fun to drive and I don't need to buy a lift kit to put reasonable wheels on it....
They have also good leasing deals so for me it would be a lot cheaper (per month) than the 2500 HD. But I really like to listen to that diesel sound....aside from that it soo much more fuel efficient than a Hummer.
Getting really crazy about all this...
Dan,
congrats to your choice, I am happily married since 19 years, my wife came from Davao
hdmax,
how to get such a rebate card, are you a GM employee?
MK
Burner 07-21-2004, 05:10 PM HD..... how did you get the card?
BuckeyeQuicky 07-21-2004, 06:01 PM Here are the rebates taking from the GM site, and there good until the 08/02/04, you can still get the $4000.00 GM owner Loyalty Rebate on either the Silverado or Sierra with Duramax/Allison if your the present owner of a GM vehicle.
hdmax 07-21-2004, 06:27 PM HD..... how did you get the card?
The dangest thing happened, Monday I went out to get the mail. (Here we have to go out to get it, no one brings it in to the househttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif ) I open the mail box, and there it is.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif I would have to guess that the mailman stuck it in therehttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clown.gif
On a more serious note, It just came in the mail on Monday. If I had a job right now, I'd use it for sure. But I am not sure if I should get a 4 wheel Hummer, or one in the bedroom. (I here my wife is pretty good at themhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Evil Smile.gif ) I don't like the idea of having a payment right now.
guinea13 07-22-2004, 05:30 PM Just got a sweet deal on an 04' 2500HD LT Crew LLY with Allison. MSRP was $47,501 and my total out the door was $37,500.
95geo 07-23-2004, 07:42 AM buckeye, can you give me a link to the site... im turning in a pontiac vibe when i get my truck
