I already have a 4" flopro catback exhaust on my truck. I keep hearing that if you remove the cat the turbo will spool alot quicker. As well as better fuel milege. Is this true and would I be best off getting a whole new exhaust kit or working with what I got? Any input on throwing codes, a down pipe, or blocker plates??

You can keep your existing system and add a front-pipe (cat-delete). You will get codes P0401 and P0404, but your check engine light may not come on. If it does, you will need a fingerstick to get rid of them.

You might as well install the finger stick and blocker plate and be done with it. Then you can install whatever you want on it for exhaust and not have to worry as long as you hook everything up correctly.

Thanks alot! Now will I have a problem getting my truck inspected for registration? I currently live in California but my truck is registered in Missouri.

jimmyjones,

Depends on MO's rules, check them and they will tell you if you must have a cat on the truck visually to pass an inspection. If that is the case then get the MBRP front pipe ( make sure thr Flo Pro have the 4 bolt flange to connect to the MBRP) and keep your old one and it'll bolt in and out per your needs at the moment. If you have questions on them please let me know.
