I thought I had a pic of my truck on my comp, cant find it, if i have some extra time ill snap one for you, I love the carbon color, doesnt show as much dirt as black. In different light conditions it shows up as green sometimes.

Just got it at 3:00 today. Still removing stuff off of my old truck. I have to get my escalade handles painted because I don't think they are available in carbon. It's taking longer to switch everything over then I thought.

So far I really like it. Fan seems to run a little more then my LB7. Although I only have 60 miles on it http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Embarrased.gif Seems like lots of power stock. More then LB7 for sure. Turbo spool up might be a bit slow, hard to tell. Juice is sitting in the passenger seat. Gonna put it in before i go home.

I tried a regular juice with no attitude on the one I test drove to make sure it was suitable. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Embarrased.gifhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gifEdited by: Max Power

Yes, it will be almost identicle. I will peel all the decals off asap though. I also might go with putco tube grille inserts.

The picture doesn't do it much justice. I saw one a week ago and I think I like it.

Shortly... I need to get a few things on it and wash it first. I might not post until I'm done with it. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Embarrased.gif

I was lucky that it had never been washed. I asked the dealer to NOT wash it. He gave me a funny look. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cool.gif I didn't want a $5/hour wash boy washing such a dark coloured truck.

And, always a favorite explaination... but honey, the other truck was sooo dirty, and soo low on fuel... it needed an oil change, more wiper fluid, a coolant flush, oh and a new trannyhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif

Here is a pic of my truck two weeks after I had it delivered. Thats 500 square feet of sod in the bed, actually made it squat pretty good.

This isnt a great picture, but you can see a stock truck with no tint and the bumpers on the doors and then my truck with tint and the bumpers removed. I have since removed every emblem...except the DuramaxDiesel emblem http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif

Plus, this is a good comparison between long bed and short bed if your deciding on that too.

I wish they would have just set the pallet down but it was against thier rules so they had to load it manually. They kept referring to blowing the suspension out of some trucks because of to much weight. Unfortunatly those minimum wage workers don't care about your 45k truck when throwing the rolls of sod and now I have a couple of small scratches over the bed rail, don't mind the ones inside the bed, that happens.

Did 2 trips that day and boy was I tired by the time I got it stacked up then layed out in the back yard. The truck didn't even notice it was back there other than the soft rear ride.

Good looking truck. I read in a few threads a while back about people complaining about their paint jobs, but I too think that the paint on my truck is flawless. Maybe we just got good ones.

There is not a scratch, nick or chip anywhere. It helps that I got it right off the truck. Never been washed. I am really impressed. I hope the paint doesn't chip as easy as my white one.

www.n-fab.com (http://www.n-fab.com) they are around 500 and mount to the body and not the frame. They are sturdy however.

I highly suggested having the either powdercoated or Line-X'ed as they get dinged up easy.

Same color as my 04 chevy, but it is not called carbon metallic anywhere on the window sticker!? Just metallic grey I believe. Still a great color, reason why I bought it. Just a note, when you wash it, you gotta towel dry it immediately or it will spot like crazy. I use meguires detail spray after washing/drying this stuff is awsome, found it years ago and started using it on my black Harley due to light scratches and water spots associated with black. My truck does not scratch easily, but the harley is a different story--I polish it and can see scratches, but hit it with the detail spray and it looks perfect!

One other thing, how did you guys get rid of the round "bubbles" in the door trim on your truck? I didn't notice them on any of the pics posted. You can see mine from a mile away! I have been thinkin about removing my trim, thought about having the dealer fix it, but they seem to just make things worse some times! LOL!
