i saw a 110v plug in that would mount under your back bumper or anywhere u wanted it to. Then you just wire it in to the trailer lights-as long as the wire is a large enough gage to handle it. You could always run new wire and ad an inline fuse too.
It was only $12.95 in the JC Whitley catolog. I checked their website www.jcw.com (http://www.jcw.com) but couldn't find it. I have seen it there before, they might not carry it now.
It was nice and included a bracket, with a sping-loaded hinge to keep out the dirt.
I wanted one, if u find one-let me know.
Good luck,
Mike

exelent info there on that link
....you could git a weather proof box set up (found at home depo or the like) used for outdoor plugs and switches mount that under the truck and run a lead back up to the cab or under the hood where ever you put your inverter and jsut plug it in or hard wire it (depending on the modle)

Wow, now I have two things to try to runoff a PTO. Not sure if there is room under the truck for the PTO to come off the allison. I know it is an option for the allison in the medium and heavy bodies, but can we get it for the light bodies??

Generator and air compressor off the PTO would be cool! :ro)

Last I checked, about a year ago, I thing the set up was about $5g & you can install it yourself, or have them do it. Also not all Allison's have the PTO Gear. I just so happen to have one in mine, I pulled the cover & checked.

That's 12v - NOT 110v.

yes, unfortunately your right. I might have been able to justify such an expense if I was a contractor or craftsman of some sort. But I think I would be sleeping in the truck if my wife found out I spent 5k on that little toy.:o:

Buy a Honda 2000i. 120V wherever you need it, and you don't have to run the truck...or even be near it.

X2 Great item to have, use ours lots when off-season camping...and during recent snow storm, the Honda kept our fridge, small heater and two flouresent lights going for about 30 hours ...all on 2 gallons of regular gas.
