Ok, it's 94 and about 35% humidity.........

I've just cleaned my truck out so I can pick up some folks at the airport. All was well until I started down the drive and the AC went south. I have no idea what happened. I checked the belt and it was fine but I couldn't chase.. loosing time so I rush down to the Airport. Anyhow, the frick'n plane is a bit late and their luggage was "misplace" for a while. So, I had about an extra hour and 1/2 to try and find my problem. I checked every connection and fuse I could find.... nothing worked. The AUTO keeps flipping to rec and then flashing, even when I try to use it without the AC on...strange. I pulled the fuses and checked'em......... still nothing.

What do I do? What could be the problem?

Had it been working fine until then? (no loss of cooling capacity)

It has never worked all that well compared to the burb. You can hang meat in my 01' 3/4ton suburban! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

Ok, this truck is just strange. The AC is working again. I don't really have a clue? My only guess would be that the truck sat on an incline looking up for 12 hours when I had the problem. If it had too much compressor oil...... heck, I don't know. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif This truck is a bugger. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif

I am think that maybe you are low on charge and/or low pressure switch is kicking out or is intermittant. You might get pressures checked while it is working to check actually charge level.
