i have a true flow air intake kit on right now and as part of the setup you remove the muffle box and replace it with a capped end piece that they provide. Ive been running it for the past couple of months now and havent had any problems but am wondering if not having the stock muffle box is a good thing or not in the long run ?? anyone have info on this item ?

I removed mine shortly after purchasing my truck and capped it. The only thing I've noticed is a slightly louder turbo whistle but only slightly. It's only there for the noise factor.
