my oil pressure has always read the same as most everybody elses from what i have read here. about a week ago i took it in to get the guage cluster replaced due to a bulb that was out and a bad connection. since that day my oil pressure is reading extremely high, like 50psi when hot at idle and it sits dead on 120psi on a cold startup. in florida, 50* coldest. dont know if this matters but the needle does go down to zero when the engine is off. any explainable reason for this or just a bad guage? im hoping that nothing is really wrong, cant imagine something serious happened at the same time it was getting the cluster replaced. thanks.

Sounds like there is an issue. Time to go back to the dealer?

I had this same problem once, your dealer needs to reprogram, "Flash" your instrument cluster with the correct version for your truck. I don't think you have anything to be concerned about!

I've had that problem since day one. Two gauge clusters later still the same
problem. I guess higher pressure is better than none!!! I don't believe it's a
huge deal.
