Ive got a quick question. When my trans shifts to second it carries and then its almost like it locks up torque convertor, carries it to redline then shifts. It does this in 3rd and forth as well. Sometimes it hesitates to shift, like it just hangs there and then shifts. Is this normal?? New to the allison.

I know this may seem silly( we all do it } are you sure you are not in tow-haul mode? If you are not it sounds like it may be stuck in it!

How long have you had http://dieselplace.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=11629 (<A href=)">Banks kit</a> in and at what performance level? You'll have to drive it a bit to get the Tranny adaptive learn done and the tranny will settle down ,some.Switching power levels constantly only confuses and delays this process.

When shopping i found the four i test drove did it also. The first on i drove i was convinced there was a tranny problem, but then the other three did it. I have a friend at a gm dealer, is there a adaptation reset, reason i say that i work on mercedes and we can reset the tranny adaptation.</TD></TR>

Yes

Just you can reset the Tap Cells but your still going to give it time to adapt by numerous up and down shifts and various throttle positions ,ditto in Tow Haul.
