First off just want to say hey to everyone out here, had several old ford diesels and I used to restore hiboys but grew out of that. I have a quick question though, I have looked at several cummins and most of the 24valve motors Ive looked at had a digital overhead console with a compas and instantaneous mileage readout. I have found a cummins(2k 4x4) that I have decided that I really like but it doesn't have this overhead readout. Is it a big deal to swap this in, is the harness there ready for it?? any help would be greatly appreciated

Welcome, the 2nd gen should have all the wiring. The swap should be easy. I have a 3rd gen and on mine you have to have the computer programed for the accesorsy I don't know about the 2nd gens.
