Can anybody tell me if you can PLAINLY hear a modified exhaust Duramax driving around with the windows all the way down and radio somewhat up. Is it louder with the "cool duals" running around? Any more clips of exhaust sounds.

FWIW, I was passing a DMax today that was towing about a 20' GN loaded. He had some kind of aftermarket exhaust and it was pretty loud while he was accelerating. I had my windows up and the radio on and I could still here it several cars behind him.

yes...... It is pretty obvious when a Max rolls by and its runnin a free flowing exhaust.......

Thank's for the info guy's. I think I'll just get the "cool duals" exhaust and that should be loud enough for me, Plus I want to quiet down a few decibels from my truck now.

I wish I could talk Martin at MBRP into making them I guess how Kennedy has their's or something. 5" coming out and maybe 6" tips on a Real 45% angle. I must want a big @$$ exhaust if I have 5" duals on my Z71. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Disapprove.gif I just wish I could see in person what they look like without driving 1,000 miles to see. I'm just used to straight back and all the " out to the side angle" exhaust I see is little wussy 3" or smaller. Big pipes and big higher than stock truck is what I'd like, Body lift for Duramax when I get it. I think that's the only way right now angled exhaust on the Max would look good until I see one.

We do a lot of MBRP/DPPI exhaust installs. Single MBRP/DPPI with the windows down and the radio on is slightly (very slightly) louder than stock and slightly (very slightly) deeper than stock. The duals on the other hand are plainly heard (louder) and much deeper.

I put the mbrp system on my truck, 4" down pipe, muffler delete pipe and out the back....when i accellerate my g/f says the people next to us either hesitate b4 they take off or roll the window up.....its loud!!!

Thank's JandD performance, I do want to hear slightly that I know the engine is still running if you know what I mean. Can anybody post pics of all different closeup and slightly away angles of their dual exhaust. I can't quite tell which way it's going from the pictures I've seen.
