I just got the Edge installed on my LBZ and have read of trans limping problems occuring. I think I've read that most problems related to limping the trans happen on the 4-5 5-6 shift ranges. I just play around on the street no high mph, stoplight to stoplight and some low speed nailing it. With the manual range set in 4th, so the Allison won't go past 4th, will I be fairly safe in not limping the trans? I don't recall reading of any issues with limping in the 1-2-3-4 gear changes am I correct on this.I'm running the Edge in levels 3 and 4 right now. i would like to go to level 5 but would like some clarity on the gear changes (limping)first. Thanks!

theoretically you can limp it with any added power. ive been running my edge in level 6 for a month now and havent limped it *yet*. i am hard on it on the freeway. and just because it doesnt limp doesnt mean you arent hurting it. the lower gears do seem to have more resistance to limping, bu its still gonna hurt it after a while.
