My brother's 2001 2500HD with 8.1L, the gas pedal started making noise everytime it is moved and getting worse. It is real annoying when trying to hold speed and just need slight pedal movement.


I tried oiling everything that moves but it didn't help at all.


Is there a specific type of lube or some spot I missed or is something worn out?

My speedy dial up connection prohibits me from viewing your link. Is it fly by wire or does it use a cable? If you have lubed everything that moves, try taking the pedal assembly off and lubing it again when you can get to it from all angles, then you may be able to pinpoint the noise further also.

It is a fly by wire.


Are there any bushings or anything in it that can wear out?


I soaked it down real good with LPS 3 oil but I can try taking it off and getting it better.
