yamahagrizzly,

Shouldn't be a problem if you want to do it. When I pulled my stock exhaust off, I got it off in one piece. Wasn't a problem, although it did take about 2 hours to put the new one on. Read my story here:

Tell you what, the exhaust sounds awesome! I have the single and it sounds great. Not too loud in the cab, but you know it's there, and outside it sounds great. Fit and finish were very good, too. Try Mark Craig at DPPI. Did me right.

You should not have any issues with warranty and or service issues with just installing an aftermarket exhaust system. If you are that concerned then talk to your service writer and see if they have an issue. Most won't care and as I have been told, if anything goes wrong with the truck they have to prove that any mods you have done caused the problem. Should be no big deal. Good luck...

talk to your dealer first some are good some are anal. mine told me gauges, exhaust, intake, the mag cover, were ok, but the juice is not... same dealer sells the juice and is quick to tell you you can remove for trips to service... bought mine elsewhere JIC. cant wait for some money so i can play.

You have to look at it this way IMO. Things happen everyday we run things over get flats ,we switch tires and or rims.

We go four wheeling and get hung up on a uneven grade and crush the muffler.

You aren't forced to buy OE parts .That is what the Magnuson -Moss Act is about. If you chose to they ,GM, can't just void your warranty because you did .

yamahagrizzly,

You are escpecially safe if you leave the factory cat alone and just do a cat back system, they really can't say much about that at all!
