I used to write technical papers for a living. I bought the JK Remote PMD kit with the harness to get it off the engine. Very nice harness and components, but not very good directions.


The directions only say, "from the driver's side, disconnect the harness for the pump-mounted PMD."


Well, WHERE is the bloomin' harness end located? Under the intake? Near the firewall? Someone please throw me a lifeline, I'm installing it tonight if possible. Thanks!

SHould be on the side of the IP. in between the front V of the intake.

Thanks! Sorry I was not clear - kit is a Kennedy Diesel PMD relocator. Sure, I can take pics, but the ones of the the PMD/FSD and cooler on the left inside (engine compartment) fender are already posted on his website.


I removed the upper intake just now (BTW, things inside lower intake are very lightly coated with oil, but cleaner than I expected for 143,xxx miles) - man, that pump-mounted unit connector is STILL hard to get at, has anybody a tip that allows me to get away with NOT removing that upper coolant hose?

Long thin flat tip screwdriver and work it off
