I just found a hairline crack about 1.5 inches long in what I believe is my bellhousing. It isn't near any bolts just out in plain sight. I am a little worried about it but should I be really worried? Would I even stand a chance with the dealer trying to get it replaced? Any help would be nice. Also anyone that had the same problem please speak up.:confused:

Really?? I agree pics would be nice, sometimes casting lines can make you look twice at it..

Kinda hard to tell ny the pic, but does look like it is in the casting, thus normal

I guess i cant imaginea crack that doesnt go from edge to edge, i suppose its possible but it just doesnt seem really likely to me?

I just got done checking a few bell housings here and they all have this flaw. Some are in a different places and they look just like your picture. They are not cracks, but flaws.
