Try ing to find a tach signal so i can hook up my remote start, anyone know where to find it on a 93, on my diagram it said white wire in the gauge cluster, but still not working

trace it off of the alternator. Its the white wire on all GMs.

They give funny readings and some remote starts don't like it.

It is white at the alternator but if that doesn't work you'll need fo find the crank position sensor.

I will try the white wire on the alt. and see if it works. I have already tryed to find crank sensor but no luck

I know the crank position sensor is yellow on the newer trucks but not sure about the older ones. I only have that information in my service manuals at the shop so I couldn't find out for sure until tomorrow.

my viper is hooked up to the white wire behind the dash. seemed to work fine.
