I am going to remove my front bumper cap and sand it down and have it painted to match my truck. How exactly is it attached to the bumper? What is the easiest way to remove it? Also does anyone know what a new one from gm costs? I may buy one to sand down and leave the original on there until the painted one is ready.

also it doesent affect anything to drive with it off

It's easy. Just go in under the truck/bumper and remove the fasteners/push out the clips. Top and bottom caps self explaintory once you check them out. Have fun. :) Looks MUCH better painted.
