Okay, i'm kind of a newb when it comes to reading tire weights and what not so this is the way I'm looking at it... Getting Helo Maxx 8 Rims...20 Inch
50 profile Nitto terra grappleres are 400 cheaper than the 55 profile
Is the 55 made for bigger loads...do they ride better than the 50's?
Newby at tires in need of wisdom...what would you get?:help:

I put the 305-50-20 Nitto Terra Grapplers on my truck with the Helo Maxx 8 wheels. I think they are a good looking wheel and tire combo. Here are a few pics.

I have 305/50's which is 12" wide and 32" tall. The 305/55 is 12" wide and 33.2" tall. To put the 305/55's on you would probably have to put a leveling kit on it or the green keys and new shocks. My 305/50's are Toyo Open Country's and dont rub at all unless I'm turning and hit a bump at the same time. I would go with 305/50's. You can get the same load range in either size.

305/55/20's are gonna rub the sway bar when you crank the wheel.....even with the front leveling kit. There's no ride difference (friend has same truck with 305/50's) and its actually hard to see a difference. I think my next set may be 50's......
