While driving tonight, as I was decelerating for a traffic light, I could feel a strong vibration . . . kinda felt like I had a flat tire . . . pulled over & the tires are fine . . played around a bit & it seems to occur only when I take my foot off the accelerator & the truck slows down . . . can feel it the most between 5 - 10 MPH . . . anyone else have this or know what it might be??

Rolling, slowly while decelerating . . . . sounds like a very low humming noise & can feel a vibration . . . almost felt like I was rolling on a flat tire . .

Well, took the truck to the dealer yesterday, they had to replace the front U joint on the rear shaft . . . apparently it was frozen in one direction; $245 later, it seems to have fixed the problem . .

I'll do'em next time for 200! JK! I have done mine several times in 130K and I might have $80 in parts and 3 hours of my time.

I also had a hydrualic press handy to press out the last original u-joint at about 120K miles. So that helped alot.

I replaced them with grease-able joints so we will see if they last any longer than the stock joints.

Actually, the parts were $35, labor was $210 . . .

Sounds like you have cracked brake rotor ... needs to be replaced ... it should get worse anytime you get the brakes hot.
