I own a 2003 Chevy 2500hd with a Duramax Diesel. Anyone with suggestions on what to do? First set of injectors at 42,000 miles, next set one week later. Next set at 102,000 miles, next set one week later. When truck started billowing smoke again, a knock appeared in the motor, took to dealer who said glow plug broke off and he doesn't know why it is knocking. They charged me $380 for a new glow plug and want to do a complete teardown of the left bank at my expense. Coincidentally the number 7 cylinder injector was completely inoperative and that is the same cylinder where the glow plug was replaced. Anybody out there experience anything like this? Chevy refused to pay for any other problems except for the injectors and will not comment on whether or not the glow plug problem was caused by the failed injectors or if the 2003 glowplugs should be recalled as well. The 2006 glow plugs have been recalled, are they the same? Thank you for your replies.

I would call GM Corp customer service. Kepp asking mor supervisors, then managers, the up and up until they get sick of you and step upm Worked twice for me and had repairs covered as a so called courtesy warranty with a $100.00 deductible
