Does anybody know if they make the steel wheels for our trucks like they do for the half-tons? I just need something that would work for a spare in case i would ever need it. I cant seem to find an 8 lug steel wheel like the cheap older ones.

Yes, the no-frills trucks have painted steel wheels.
You should be able to find one at a U-Pull-It type place.

You may want to try Rock Crawler steel wheels. They are available in eight lug.

The old style will only fit the rear. They hit the front caliper for some reason (offset?). Worst case, put a rear on the front & the spare on the rear. Either way, they (new steel wheels) do come as factory spares for the new trucks. I have a couple of each (w/poor tires on them), but would probably cost more to ship than they're worth. I'd try a local tire shop for takeoffs.
