Please let me know what you all think the best performance unit for the LLY is. I would like a downloader that just plugs into the port under my dash and you answer a few questions. Otherwise I will go the other way, just want what works best.

PLEASE HELP.

TTS produces performance programs for your ECM among other things.

As I understand it, each is specifically written for your particular truck, desired use or performance gain, and is locked to your serial number. You can either buy a second ECM from them with the program loaded, or pull yours and send it to them for the new programming.

They've gotten some really good reviews here on the forum.

If you are looking for more tow power, and to bring up the acceleration of the line, without hurting mileage, the TTS Tow Tune is pretty sweet.

IMO, it's the tune the truck should have come with from the factory. Very smooth. You won't know it's there except the truck goes much quicker (17.69 vs. 15.53) and makes much more power (246rwhp stock, 311 rwhp after) especially down low.

While I really like the features of the Edge Juice w/Attitude, you know it's there. Not as smooth. Not to say there is anything wrong with it, but I have both, so I can run what I want, and I run the TTS everyday, and reserve the Edge for racing and playing around. But my truck is primarily a work truck and a tow vehicle, and smooth is good.

Keep in mind the Juice is brand new, and the TTS has been running for a few months now. It is possible that the Juice will be more refined at a later date.

You really can't lose with either one - The Edge defuels shifts, measures performance, checks EGT's and trans slip. It's VERY, VERY sophisticated. My "perfect" module would be the smoothness of the TTS, and the features of the Juice.

I'm not a "spokesman" for either company. I was given the opportunity to test both in their "prerelease" versions. I have a good reputation in Corvette community for telling it like is, and I will continue to do so with my venture in the Diesel world.

hmmm, has anyone tried a hypertech on the dmax ?
DWRAT - ive tried out the bullydog for LLY and its just not as refined as the TTS !! Needs some improvement to catch up. Over all, Ive now had a chance to try out pretty much all the mods for the LLY - Edge, Bully Dog, Quad, TTS - and none are as smooth and reliable as the TTS, some are better than others obviously but the TTS is hands down the best working power mod IMO for my truck at this time..
