Ok, I put on my edge w/attitude... sweet ride.. :) Then I had a brainstorm, I had wanted the ppe xcelerator.. great.. :cool2:

then I had a better idea.. mix them.. umm.. power is a word for it.. black smoke belching rubber squealing dragon is what it turned into. I am only running the hot 2 on 2, and the d*** j/a with it and I am about half scared is going to squish my truckas it accelerates the rear end faster than the front can take.. but for the simple joy of being able to hit 60 in 3 or 4 heartbeats.. it Censored rocks!!!!
Of course this means tranny upgrades, fuel system upgrades, and a handful of other things, but does anyone else get a little afraid they are going to twist their truck when they mash real hard??
I have a fast sports car. A dodge stealth twin turbo. I can run 11s in it with a slipping clutch.. but maybe its the size.. the truck just feels like it is going faster.. makes my blood boil.. I WANT MORE!!!!!!!! I can only imagine what some of you out there with even higher powered monsters are doing.. such envy...

Anyone else running similar? And what do you suppose is the best combination?? And I also wonder how much the two of them turned full out will do.. guess I will have to get it on the dyno and find out..

Well it takes about a day to get used to doubling your power. After that you just want more.... Yesterday I set the truck back to stock just to be reminded of the difference. You know, for a diesel I thought it had some pep when I first got it, but after driving it suped for a bit, and then going back.. it just seems like its slow.. oh how speed changes perception

both turned up will be too much timing (at least it is on most trucks)....you need to get a mechanical boost gauge. the edge fools the ecm into only seeing 26.xx....and a tranny of course.....also watch the egt's when i had my edge hot and ppe hot exhaust went to 1700+ at 126 mph):h

I have ppe and edge, with the ppe on hot +2 et and the edge on 3x4 is what runs the best. If you put the edge any higher it burst really bad, it will give a little burst on 3 sometimes. My grandma lives in branson, ill be coming through for thanksgiving, maybe we can meet up and i can give you a ride, and talk you into getting a tranny.):h

How much power are u putting out do u think? Cause I just sold my 03 SVT Cobra for this truck because of a misdemeanor, so i miss the speed.... I would love to be able to run low 13's to high 12's in my truck. What does it take to get it to do that safely on my 2002 LB7 Daily Driver that wont cost a fortune?

Its easier than you think, the most $ part is the tranny, then just get efi live, or a good chip, air intake, exhaust, set the truck up to race, and a good driver and your set.

Do not forget boost, and EGT gauges if you are not running a attitude monator. And Tie rod sleeves and a Center link if you are rodding in 4 wheel drive.

So what am I looking at money wise to do the tranny upgrade? And until I can get the money to upgrade the tranny, What is the most power I can run with a programmer/tuner for a daily driver?

Stage IV suncoast, holds 500+ RWHP, will run 2780 plus install. Install runs from 1000 to 1600 depending on the tranny shop. You can get the stage III for about 500 less but its easy to get over 500RWHP so you might as well get the stage IV.

Good luck

I forgot about the front end part, i have all of superdiesels, which are a good product, but on the gauges i can honestly say mine are just for looks, i don't ever watch them when im racing or pulling, and if my egt's did get high i sure as hell wouldn't let out of it.):h
