Does anyone here run their chrome aftermarket rims year round? especially in cold climates? I'm debating whether i need to buy a set of 285's for my stock rims, and use those in the winter instead of my chrome moto meal rims which have 35" tires on them.

If you live in an area were salt or other chemicals are used to rid ice. I would run something different. Especially when the roads are wet/sloppy, that's when the real damage starts to happen.

To protect them I'd swap. My stockers are already pitting after 2 winters!

Do you get a lot of snow? Do they salt your roads when you do get it....if so I'd get 285's...save your wheels!

I run stockers with 305/70/16 for winter i like my aftermarket rims and want them to keep looking nice. Here in western NY they use a lot of salt.

FWIW, I had a set of 20's on my 1500 Z71 and even spraying them off every time there was salt and washing them every two weeks, they started to rust and pit after about three months.
