I have a 90 Juice with 4.61 version program, are any of the newer versions that much better as far as tranny shifting and power delivery under 110 hp? I wish the tranny or torgue converter, which ever is not hooking up, would apply the power to the ground better. I think if you modulate the throttle less than wide open in the beginning it actually goes faster because it isn't blowing thru the tranny converter. I suspect a tranny mod. would help this .

As far as the old boxes delivering more power, I think think they did. The earliest version I had was 3.5 and I think that was the fastest that I had on my truck to date. I have also heard this is the case with others that have had the juice for a long time. Now I have ver. 4.71 and think it is gutless compared to the other earlier versions. I put down 360hp and the torque was around 650(can find the sheet). this was with the attitude on level 5 at 125HP. I feel that this power alone will not destroy the allison if not abused to badly.
