Has there been a reccomened fix yet for the A/C noise at high engine rpm?

Thanks

Robert, Can you explain the noise a little better?

That might give the techs a little something more to go on, than just a loud a/c noise at high rpm.

I can hear my a/c cycle on and off during cruise (70-75 mph). At first I thought it was the engine fan cycling but the noise is directly related to the a/c. I can produce the noise at engine speeds app. 2000 rpm and above in any gear. I remember someone talking about adding extra insulation to the a/c hoses to quite the noise. Just thought there might be a cure from GM for it.

My A/C does the same thing. It sounds like a "beeeep", "beeeeep". I thought it was the tranny at first, but it was the A/C. But I was having cooling problems with the A/C because of low freon which causes the low pressure switch to cut out the A/C clutch intermitently leading to the beep beep sound.

Yep, If the a/c is cycling on and off, chances are it's low on coolant charge. I've even had new trucks that had no coolant in them at all, the a/c didn't work when I drove it off the lot. Apparently some cars come with a dry system and have to be prepped at the dealer.
