What tires for -04’ 3500 GMC? [Archive]

I am shopping for new tires for my dually and would like to go bigger like 235-265.....anyone know what size i can go with and what brand? also what load rating do i need to search for and all that crap....thanks

IIRC, there's a number of posts around here about duallys and tire sizes. Have you tried a few searches?

The gist of most seem to be that the dually has a sidewall clearance problem on the rear duals when you start going with bigger tires. Seems like I've seen folks post that a 235 will fit, but bigger might not fit. Tire profiles will have some influence, but I can't help anymore with that stuff.

There are spacers, different wheels, or even adapter sets for the BIG tires and wheels, but stock I think you're going to be really limited.
