I am wanting to lower the EGT when towing my fiver. I like the truck quiet and dont want any drone. From what I have read here these two sound like the best options.

For those of you with one of these systems:

Any trouble with the fit or install? How is the noise? And most important how much did the exhaust lower your EGT?

Thanks for any info.

The TTS will lower your exhaust temps and be no louder than stock in the cab with no drone. In your sig. it says CC so it will bolt right up. The amount of EGT drop depends on the conditions your in but typically 75 - 150 degrees.

Banks system is within 3dbs of stock, yet has nice sound when you get on it. Installed it in an hour! Very easy and everything fits great.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

I would go with banks. They have a nice system, easy to install and you will be happy with the sound.

The only thing I offer is that I have driven a TTS exhaust truck. It is very quiet. If quiet is what you seek, the TTS certainly does the job. If you want "hotrod" sound effects, you need something else.

The TTS exhaust that I have on my extended cab has a deep sound. It minimally increased the inside cabin sound (certainly not 3db). If you get on the throttle, you know it is there. There is an ever so slight drone at around 1600 rpm (at least to my ears,,,,,,the truck driveline itself has a slight resonance around this point also).

I have no drone whatsoever at any speed. I do have engine noise at times, but it is not exhaust. I sometimes have hydraboost noises after a long pull. At 90 mph you can have a nice conversation with the person in the back seat with the TTS system.

I love the banks kit.... Refined agressive sound.. You can tell it's not stock when you start it and run around, but it's not overbearing. Once you hop on it, it's still pretty quiet until boost builds up then watch out now, the secret's out ;)

I own a truck with a banks exhaust and have driven a couple with the TTS. i originally thought my banks was quiet until i drove a truck with the TTS.. i actually thought something was broken at first it was so quiet.

McRat nailed it on the head- if you want the quietest 4" system get the TTS. if you want more noise I'd go with the banks. both fit well and look good. just depends on the sound you are looking for.
