I've seen pictures of them. Who built theres or where did you have it built. How do you like them, and what size Solobaric do you have back there and how many?

Chris,

Here's one I built for my '02 (had to shorten it lengthwise for the '04). It's 3/4" MDF and is about .76 cubic feet and sounds damn good with a 12". With a little redesign, I'm sure you could make one to fit a square SOLOBARIC. If you do a cardboard mock-up first they're pretty easy to build.

Josh, are you still using the stock radio/CD? If so, where are you getting the signal from for the sub?

Marc,

I'm using the stock head unit (XM/6 Disc). I used a PAC AOEM-GM24 interface (like $45). It plugs into the stock head unit and wiring (plug and play), and provides a set of RCA pre-outs. It puts out a nice clean signal too.

can anyone tell me what the difference between the AOEM-GM24 and the C2A-GM24, they seem to do the same thing except the c2a is about 2x the price

the C2A-GM24 is 2 channel, not 4, but more importantly, it is not sierra/silv compatable, rather for the denali etc.

blnagel,

Thanks, it doesn't sound too shabby.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Rock On.gif

chevmeister,

I assume your reffering to the AOEM-GM24 interface? On the package, it only lists it as working for the '03-'04 Sierras. I'm sure PAC makes one for the '99-'02's though.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

What is the covering material over the box? I like that look rather than the fabric I put on mine. Just wondering what it is and how hard to put on.

blnagel,

It's black "Hammerite" spray paint (HomeDepot) over grey primer. It has a slight texture and is fairly tough. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif
